Amanda Baity is involved with several nonprofit causes. More prevalent is those involving veterans issues. Co-Founder of Semper K9 Assistance Dogs, her family’s rich military heritage along with being the spouse of an OEF/OIF Marine Combat Veteran make her a perfect advocate for veteran rights. Amanda is currently continuing her education with various classes on PTS, TBI and Family Counseling for Military Families. Semper K9 Assistance Dogs mission is to enhance the quality of life for wounded, critically ill and injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families by providing them assistance dogs. Using rescued and donated dogs Semper K9 provides service dogs for psychiatric alert and mobility challenges free of charge to wounded service members.
Association of Service Dog Providers for Military Veterans is a coalition of non-profit service dog providers for Military Veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and military sexual trauma working to prevent suicide and improve military Veterans’ mental health.
